Very good location for access to Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express rail link
The room was unbearable musty and the bed was in poor condition.
Nothing we tried everywhere to escape but all local hotels were full. No where to get a cold drink at 11.30. rudimentary security in room and no safe facility. Reception would only secure up to 100 pounds value! The room was vile and the smell of rot and damp on the stairs was choking. This hotel is an embarrassment to the uk and the facade and reception are a mask to why lies upstairs.......hell! The smell was so bad that we did not attempt to try the inclusive breakfast and paid for it at a local bistro.
Everything except location for the train home
The Hotel was excellent value for money, great location from Paddington , cafes etc... Great location for Hyde Park . Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good , room was clean and tidy , just what we needed, We had no noise and I think we were close to the kitchens. Would stay here again , Excellent value for money , rooms quite small but you get what you pay for ..
No complaints would come here again .
The decor is very poor especially in the room I had. It would cost very little to make the room appear modern - the hotel felt more like a Bed & Breakfast than a hotel in a capital city. I understand that the owners probably don't want to spend money on a major refurbishment but that wouldn't be neccessary - imagination-design input & a small budget could totally change the interior - the carpet in the corridors & the interior of my room looked older than me plus the signage for the rooms was very poor & totally confusing - if a fire broke out in the hote I think there could be the chance of people getting hurt. The breakfast in the morning was not great but I suppose you get what you pay for. Best thing about the hotel is it's location.
In the first half of May I stayed in a single room on the last floor of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the good design of the room, the clean walls, the comfortable bed and the new faience in the bathroom. The hotel was quiet. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was acceptable. The transport to the city centre (tube and bus lines) was very good. The Paddington railway station nearby is a significant advantage of the hotel.
The wash-basin doesn’t have a mixing tap but two separate taps for cold and hot water. (The shower was OK.)
The location and the staff were excellant.
Very helpful and friendly staff and lots of restaurants nearby and short walkingdistance to the tube at paddington. Hyde park is also nearby. However, the rooms are small and the beds are not very comfy. If you travel with small children, the narrow corridors might be a problem when trying to get a stroller to your room.
The hotel was very convenient to Paddington Station and the staff extremely helpful.
the location is excellent, the public transport very easy,a quiet neighborhood
too small rooms and showers
Perfect location, pleasant district, helpful staff, very clean hotel
no healthier option as cornflakes are concerned
Low price for London; fair price/ quality rate; clean room and bathroom, clean laundry changed every day; all the staff is professional and friendly; good location, close to the underground station Paddington, where from you can easily travel anywhere in the town. Enough comfort if you need a starting point for your city trips and a good bed; wireless in the lobby; you can make your instant cofee/tee in the room every morning, without running out of coffee, sugar or cream.
The bathroom is 1.5/1.5m and awkward to use (fix shower, 2 taps, very small wash bowl, refurbished old building; old wooden English window very difficult to move; no small lamps for reading - the existing ones may not allow the others to sleep.
The location was excellent, accomodation was basic and dated but very clean, beds comfortable, friendly staff, great value for the area. Ideal place to stay if you're planning on being out sight-seeing/shopping all day and just want somwhere to crash at night.
We found everything reasonable but perhaps for us the closeness to the rail, the tube and many different restaurants was the best. Then again the staff were so friendly and helpful eg giving directions ,calling a taxi and storing luggage on the day of departure
Nothing to dislike
Staff are excellent, rooms are too small, location is perfect.
No room service, more variety in breakfast menu is a must
Friendly and helpful staff; very well placed for visiting London (zone 1); proximity to tube and rail stations _ Paddington (no need for taxis)
the room (double) was really really cramped
